Dilla Figure

The iconic Dilla Figure was designed by Detroit illustrator Simtex, and floated around as a prototype for a couple years before Rick Williams brought the project to The Estate of James Yancey to consider. The Estate partnerd with Stussy on the collaboration and the now-articulated figure was hand sculpted and brought to Seoul’s Blitzway for production. A second edition of the Figure, featuring Dilla’s garb from the Donuts record cover, was later released. Both editions sold out immediately.
